INTRODUCTION TO DESIGN SERVICES
Whatever the size, or its location, the investment that is made in the property, the better the return will be in terms of revenue. Miller Inventories has been established in the field of lettings for nearly twenty years, and so is able to offer real experience in advising clients on the provision of suitable, cost-effective, furnishings for investment properties and holiday homes. From a single item, through to fully furnishing a property, equipping multiple units in a block of apartments or show apartments and houses for corporate clients – we are able to provide a full service, from advice to planning and purchasing, to installation.
We will visit a property on behalf of the client to ensure that it meets expectation. We can help maximise the property’s potential and therefore minimise the possibility of it remaining unoccupied for lengthy periods.
A well maintained property is more likely to attract clients. Lighting and presentation of kitchen and bathroom areas are also key areas in the presentation of a property. We can also dress the property, which may include hanging curtains and blinds, preparing beds, the placement of accessories such as wall hangings, objets d’art, and more.
We can advise on all aspects of the property’s design. See our design guides which provide guidance on some of the key aspects of property interior design.
There are three main styles that work well in furnishing the interior of a property, all of which can be attained with minimum outlay and time. These design styles can be adapted, built on, easily altered whether for a property to be sold or an investment property for the rental market.
A style many clients choose to adopt. It blends existing furniture, household objects, and ornaments, with a selection of new, key, items.
This style can be designed to provide a neutral or ‘minimalist’ feel to a new investment property, one important advantage being that it will allow space for personal possessions. This is a particularly effective approach if the property is small.
A classical style of interior will allow clients to present an older-style property to its best advantage. This option is particularly apt when applied to a holiday home or typical Victorian/Edwardian semi-detached house, which may be destined to be let.
We able offer advice on the preparation of the garden to put it into a suitable condition prior to occupancy. We can also oversee the successful completion of any work required. If a complete garden redesign is needed, we can provide a range of workable garden designs to enable any client to maintain the grounds, even if they are inexperienced gardeners.
